It was late and Jill was still in her studio. The painting she was commissioned for seemed uninspiring– flat and stale. It was due in the morning and she felt pressured into creating a masterpiece in only a few hours.
Jill stared at the colors as they started to swirl and bleed into one another. A small dot, far off in the distance, grew larger and larger. It got bigger and more body-like and then grew arms and legs. She blinked and rubbed her eyes as the figure bent down off canvas, as if it were looking for some unseen item.
Jill gasped as the water hit her face. It jolted her mind awake and shocked her. It was just the right thing to convince her to finish the painting, however.
